U.S. Steel Approves Nearly $3 Billion Mon Valley Hot Strip Mill
U.S. Steel’s board has approved full funding for a nearly $3 billion hot strip mill at the Edgar Thomson Plant in Braddock, Pa. The mill would raise annual capacity from approximately 2.2 million tons to approximately 3.5 million tons, with initial production expected in late 2029.
