Sparkz is a Sacramento, California, battery technology and manufacturing company building a domestic lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery supply chain. The company says it develops and manufactures battery materials, cells and battery systems for commercial, industrial, energy storage and defense customers, and that it builds its LFP battery energy storage systems in its Sacramento facility, from cathode active materials to cells to complete systems. In November 2026, Sparkz and Global Ordnance announced plans for a $100 million defense battery manufacturing operation in the Midwest for drones and unmanned aerial vehicles, which the companies expect to create about 355 jobs.
