Rio Truss Unclaimed

Rio Truss is a McAllen, Texas, manufacturer of roof trusses and floor trusses that also supplies LVLs and offers consulting on product selection. It was founded in 2004, and its website says the team brings more than 100 years of combined experience in truss work covering sales, design, fabrication and delivery. The office on North Bentsen Road keeps weekday hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The company builds for both commercial and residential builders throughout the Rio Grande Valley, according to trade press coverage. On Dec. 5, 2024, McCoy’s Building Supply of San Marcos completed its purchase of Rio Truss. Terms were not disclosed. Roofing Contractor and Building Products Digest reported that Rio Truss became a wholly owned McCoy’s subsidiary and would continue to operate under its own name, and that McCoy’s stores in South Texas and the Coastal Bend had worked with the truss maker for years before the deal.

A McCoy’s executive quoted in the coverage cited Rio Truss’s reputation and its specialization in complex homes and designs as reasons for the acquisition, which marked McCoy’s entry into the truss market. Rio Truss describes its mission as delivering superior products at competitive prices with customers first.
