Colonial Truss Company Unclaimed

Colonial Truss Company manufactures roof and floor trusses in Dallas for single-family, commercial and multifamily projects, and it sells only through lumber dealers. Builders, framers, contractors or homeowners who call the company are referred to a dealer of their choice or one near their project, a policy Colonial states plainly so dealers know it will not sell around them. Its website says it delivers to dealers nationwide.

Floor systems are designed from the roof down so loads carry through the trusses, and Colonial offers floor truss depths from 9-1/4 inches to 32 inches. Roof trusses are designed to meet or exceed current codes and built to strict tolerances for tight joints, and the company says it can usually solve complex design problems. It also lists quality control, job-site delivery and dealer pricing as strengths.

Colonial announced that it had acquired Lampasas Building Components, which it describes as a major Central Texas truss manufacturer, and that the plant is being renamed Colonial Truss – Lampasas. The City of Houston’s registered fabricator list includes a Colonial Truss wood truss plant in Lampasas. The Structural Building Components Association lists Colonial Truss Company on Storey Lane in Dallas as a component manufacturer member of the Truss Manufacturers Association of Texas since 2015.
