This policy explains what information ManufacturersLists.com (“Manufacturers Lists,” “we,” “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. ManufacturersLists.com is operated by Go Right Strategies Inc., a Florida corporation.

1. Information we collect

  1. Information you give us:
    1. Account details: name, email and password.
    2. Company profile information you add when you claim or edit a profile: company name, logo, description, products, certifications and business contact details.
    3. Messages you send through our contact, report and “request to carry” forms.
    4. Details you provide at checkout, such as the listing page you want for a Sponsored listing (and, when banner ads are offered, banner image links and a click-through URL).
  2. Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. We don’t receive or store your full card number. Stripe shares limited details with us, such as the details you enter at Stripe’s checkout, the last four digits of your card and the status of the payment.
  3. Information collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring pages, and dates and times of visits. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 3).
  4. Company information from public sources: company names, websites and industry information used to build our lists. This is business information, not information about individual consumers.

2. How we use information

  1. To run the directory, including showing company profiles and verifying claims (for example, by checking that a work email matches the company’s domain).
  2. To provide accounts, process payments and send service emails about your account, claims, payments and placements.
  3. To answer messages and corrections.
  4. To understand how the site is used and to improve it (analytics).
  5. To show advertising (see section 3).
  6. To prevent fraud and abuse, and to comply with the law.

We don’t sell your personal information for money. We don’t collect Social Security numbers.

3. Cookies, advertising and analytics

  1. Google AdSense and third-party ads: we use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies let Google and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. Other third-party vendors or ad networks may also use cookies to serve ads on our site.
  2. Your ad choices:
    1. Opt out of personalized advertising from Google at Google Ads Settings.
    2. Opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices (US), or www.youronlinechoices.eu (EEA/UK).
    3. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
  3. Google Analytics: we use Google Analytics (through Google Site Kit) to measure site traffic and usage. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as pages viewed and approximate location. Learn more at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  4. Essential cookies: we use cookies needed to keep you signed in, remember your settings and keep the site secure and fast, including cookies set by our security, caching and content delivery services.
  5. Managing cookies: most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking some cookies may stop parts of the site, such as signing in, from working.

4. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland

  1. Your choices: you can opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings (see section 3), and you can block or delete cookies in your browser.
  2. Legal bases: we process personal data to perform a contract with you (accounts, profiles, payments); for our legitimate interests (running, securing and funding the directory, and showing business information); to meet legal obligations; and on your consent where the law requires it.
  3. Your rights: you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your data; to restrict or object to processing; to withdraw consent at any time; and to complain to your local data protection authority.
  4. International transfers: we’re based in the United States, and our service providers (such as Google, Stripe, Cloudflare, Akismet and our hosting provider) may process data in the US and other countries under appropriate safeguards.

5. US state privacy rights

Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and other states with consumer privacy laws), you may have the right to:
1. Know and access the personal information we hold about you.
2. Correct inaccurate personal information.
3. Delete personal information.
4. Get a portable copy of your information.
5. Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, targeted (cross-context behavioral) advertising and profiling. Some laws treat advertising cookies as a “sale” or “sharing”. To opt out, use Google Ads Settings (above), or contact us (section 9).
6. Not be discriminated against for using these rights.
7. Appeal our decision on your request, where your state law provides for it.

To make a request, contact us (section 9). We’ll verify your request before acting on it. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows.

6. How we share information

  1. Service providers that help us run the site: hosting, security and content delivery (Cloudflare), spam filtering for forms (Akismet), payments (Stripe), analytics and advertising (Google), and email delivery.
  2. Public profile information: what a company owner chooses to publish appears on the site. Contact details are shown to signed-in members.
  3. Legal reasons: to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights and safety.
  4. Business transfers: if the site is sold or merged, information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.

7. Data retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above. For example, account data is kept while your account is active, and payment records as long as tax and accounting rules require. We use reasonable safeguards, but no website can promise perfect security.

8. Children

Manufacturers Lists is a business directory and isn’t directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

9. Contact us

For privacy questions or requests, use our Contact Us page and write “Privacy request” in your message.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We’ll post the new version here and change the “Last updated” date above.
