Apple said on Oct. 20, 2026, that Qnity had joined its American Manufacturing Program in March. On Oct. 20, 2026, Apple said it is expanding its partnership with Qnity, which “will produce advanced films essential to the new variable aperture camera system on iPhone 18 Pro.” Apple did not name the U.S. site where the films will be made.
