Consolidated Mills, Inc. is a Houston food contract packaging and product solutions company that has served the foodservice industry for almost 50 years. It works for institutional and retail food customers from a 50,000-square-foot manufacturing and warehouse facility on Brittmoore in northwest Houston. The plant does both dry and wet blending under good manufacturing practices and FDA standards, and the company says it is Kosher certified and undergoes a third-party food safety audit every year.

Herbs and spices are a core line: the company mixes and packages more than 5 million pounds of spices a year, specializing in proprietary custom blends, tailored packaging, product development and portion control. In processed foods, it makes and packages private-label salsas and sauces, from small test batches to large volume runs, and offers a library of proven recipes for clients’ labels.

Consolidated Mills also packs FARO jalapeño peppers from Veracruz, Mexico, including nacho and long sliced, whole and mild half jalapeños, serranos, chipotles and tomatillos, in institutional, retail and industrial packs, with field-run product under the La Comadre brand. For beverages it produces 5:1 and 7:1 concentrates, snow cone syrups, bar mixers and aguas frescas, and it blends dry and liquid food colors and flavor emulsions.
