Dextrum Laboratories is a contract manufacturer of over-the-counter drugs, dietary supplements and cosmetics, operating one cGMP facility in Miami since 1999. The plant covers 16,000 square feet. The company says the plant is FDA registered as an OTC drug, supplement and cosmetic establishment, follows current good manufacturing practice, holds a Florida Department of Agriculture food permit and is regulated by Miami-Dade County’s Division of Environmental Resources Management (DERM). The company says it has developed or made more than 1,000 products.

Services cover contract manufacturing, formulation and development with bench tests, scale-up and stability studies, packaging and labeling, and regulatory support such as establishment registration, label and claim review and certificates of analysis. Dextrum works in liquid and semi-solid forms from 1-ounce fills up to 5-gallon bulk, including oral liquids and syrups, suspensions, topical lotions, creams and oils, roll-ons, oral rinses and sprays.

Raw materials are quarantined and identity tested, batches follow a master formula, and in-process checks cover fill weight, pH, viscosity and appearance, with a COA and retained sample for each lot. Typical products include cough and cold remedies, antifungals, topical analgesics, liquid vitamins, mineral tonics, chlorophyll, fiber products, lotions and hair and scalp care.
