F&S Fresh Foods Unclaimed

F&S Fresh Foods processes and distributes fresh-cut fruits, vegetables and meal solutions from its headquarters in Vineland, New Jersey. The family behind it farmed in southern New Jersey for generations, and the business was founded as F&S Produce in 1988 in the building now called Plant 1. Operations began in the current Vineland headquarters in 2018.

The company has 650,000 square feet of facilities and processes more than 100 million pounds of produce each year, sourcing locally when it can. Customers include retail, foodservice and industrial buyers, from restaurants and convenience store chains to supermarket prepared-food departments. F&S now has about 1,100 employees, and the family’s second generation is preparing to lead.

Two sister companies complete the supply chain. Pipco Transportation began as the family’s first truck fleet and by 2012 had grown into a regional long-haul carrier running more than 50 refrigerated tractor-trailers over a 600-mile-plus radius along the East Coast, and Mideastern Cold Storage handles storage. The company says it and Pipco meet FSMA Sanitary Transport of Human Foods rules, and that F&S has been Certified by Great Place to Work.
