Longhorn Truss has designed and built trusses for Central Texas builders since 2003 from its facility on US Highway 77 in Lott. The family-owned company makes custom wood roof trusses, floor trusses and heavy timber trusses for residential, commercial and multifamily construction.

Longhorn stresses that it does not sell stock trusses. Every component is engineered for its project, taking into account load, span, climate and architectural style, using modern design software and quality lumber. The design staff includes specialists for luxury custom homes, commercial buildings, heavy timber work and hotel and multifamily projects, and a production manager also handles dispatch. The company promotes its quoting as straightforward, with no fine print, and says its designers respond quickly and keep builders informed from quote to installation.

Galleries on the site are split into residential, commercial, multifamily and heavy timber work. The company describes its product as Texas-built and delivered nationwide. Office hours run 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with an earlier close on Fridays. The City of Houston’s registered fabricator list includes Longhorn Truss in Lott for wood trusses, and the Structural Building Components Research Institute lists the Lott plant as a licensee.
